Education
I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Rowan University in 2012 with a GPA of 3.82. I double majored in Early Childhood Education and Sociology. Along with my double major, I received a certification for Teacher of Students with Disabilities. During my time there, I also was president of the Early Childhood club for my junior and senior year. I also was the Alumni Chair for Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society and also a member of two other honor societies.
Experience
I have been teaching professionally for 3 years in two different districts, Winslow Township and Cherry Hill. I currently work at an elementary school in Cherry Hill as third grade special education teacher. Apart from teaching, I have consistently worked at different academic/recreational camps during the summer. The camps have a variety of ages and academic abilities. I tutor these children in reading/math skills and strategies, writing skills, and test taking strategies. I have been a member of the NJEA for four years. I also presented as a keynote speaker at the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) yearly conference in 2012.
